The second shift exam of Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET 2021 on 16th December has been postponed. Along with this, the examinations to be held on December 17 in both shifts have also been canceled. The reason behind the cancellation of the exam is said to be a technical problem. The exam was to be held in two shifts
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday postponed the proposed CTET exam across the country. Officials gave this information on Thursday. However, the proposed exam on December 20 will be held on its scheduled schedule. According to a statement issued by CBSE, due to unforeseen technical challenges, the examination which was to be held on Friday has to be postponed. The proposed examination in the second shift on Thursday also could not be held due to this. However, the first shift exam was completed without any hindrance.
CBSE has said in its statement that the exercise to overcome the technical challenges has been intensified. The proposed exam on December 20 will be held according to its predetermined schedule. At the same time, the second shift of December 16 and the next date of the proposed examination on December 17 will be announced soon.
Let us tell you that this time for the first time CTET is being conducted online (Computer Based Mode – CBT). Till now the offline exam was conducted. The exam is being conducted in 20 languages across the country.
CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2
CBSE conducts the CTET exam twice every year. The first exam is conducted in the month of July and the second in the month of December. Successful candidates who appear in CTET Paper-1 will be considered eligible for teacher recruitment for class 1 to class 5. Whereas successful candidates appearing in Paper-2 will be considered eligible for teacher recruitment for classes 6th to 8th. The validity of the CTET certificate will be for life.
