Indian Navy Day 2021: ভারতের জন্য নৌবাহিনীর গুরুত্ব আজকের মতো এতটা সম্ভবত কখনও ছিল না। কিন্তু এই গুরুত্ব খুব কমই সঠিকভাবে বোঝা গিয়েছিল। এর কারণ, ভারতের ওপর হামলা ও হুমকি স্থলপথের চেয়ে বেশি ছিল। ভারতের ইতিহাস উত্তর পশ্চিম থেকে আক্রমণের ঘটনা দিয়ে পরিপূর্ণ। কিন্তু ভারতের সমুদ্রসীমা খুবই বিস্তৃত এবং আজকের আন্তর্জাতিক পরিস্থিতিতে এর নিরাপত্তা এবং ভারতীয় নৌবাহিনীর গুরুত্ব উভয়ই আরও বেশি সংবেদনশীল হয়ে উঠেছে। 4 ডিসেম্বর নৌবাহিনী দিবস পালিত হচ্ছে শুধুমাত্র একটি ঐতিহাসিক ঘটনার একটি বার্ষিকী নয়, ভারতীয় নৌবাহিনীকে সঠিক দৃষ্টিকোণে দেখার একটি দিনও।
Indian Navy Day 2021; Why only on 4th December
The Navy’s special achievement is behind celebrating Navy Day in India on December 4 every year. In 1971, when there was a war between India and Pakistan for the liberation of Bangladesh. In the events of that war, on the date of 4 December, the Indian Navy attacked and destroyed the Karachi naval base of Pakistan. This day is celebrated in the memory of its success.
That attack proved decisive
It was the result of the powerful and agile strategy of the Indian Navy that Pakistan was left stunned. And after this, Pakistan did not get a chance to recover in the war. At that time, the land border of India and Pakistan was very much due to being with Bangladesh. Therefore, from the point of view of Pakistan, the importance of the Navy was only that West Pakistan could send goods to East Pakistan through the Navy.
The role of the Indian Navy was huge in 1971.
But against the hopes of Pakistan, India did not get a chance to recover after Pakistan shocked it through the Navy and pushed it on the back foot. Not only this, it was the result of the strategy of the Indian Navy that West Pakistan could not reach any help to East Pakistan through its navy.
Navy Golden Victory Years
The year 2021 is the golden jubilee of the victory of the 1971 war. That is why this time the Indian Navy is celebrating this day as Golden Victory Year. The Indian Navy was established by the East India Company in 1612 which was later renamed the Royal Indian Navy and after independence in 1950 it was named the Indian Navy.

Indian Navy Day 2021; Navy Day was changing
Navy Day in India was earlier celebrated along with Trofaglar Day of the Royal Navy. The Royal Indian Navy celebrated Navy Day for the first time on 21 October 1944. The purpose of celebrating this was to increase awareness about the Navy among the common people. After World War II from 1945, Navy Day was celebrated on 1 December. After this, Navy Day continued to be celebrated on 15 December till 1972 and since 1972 it has been celebrated on 4 December only.
4 Pakistani ships were destroyed
অপারেশন ট্রাইডেন্টের সাফল্যের স্মরণে 4 ডিসেম্বর ভারতীয় নৌবাহিনী দিবস পালিত হয়, যার অধীনে ভারতীয় নৌবাহিনী করাচি বন্দর ধ্বংস করেছিল। এই দিনে ভারতীয় নৌবাহিনী তাদের ফ্ল্যাগশিপ জাহাজ পিএনএস খাইবার সহ চারটি পাকিস্তানি জাহাজ ডুবিয়ে দেয়। এই অভিযানে শত শত পাকিস্তানি নৌসেনা নিহত হয়।
