The workers in the unorganized sector have to face many economic difficulties. To overcome these difficulties, various types of schemes are run by the government. The Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana has also been launched by the Central Government.
Through PM shram Yogi mandhan Yojana, pension will be provided to all those unorganized sector workers whose monthly income is ₹ 15000 or less. The announcement to launch this scheme was made by Union Minister Piyush Goyal on 1 February 2019.
The benefits of PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana can be availed by the workers of unorganized sectors like drivers, rickshaw pullers, cobblers, tailors, laborers, house workers, furnace workers etc. If you are also eligible to get the benefit of this scheme, then you have to apply under this scheme.

Step to Apply Online PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana Application Form 2021?
Step 1- Visit the Official Website Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana i.e. https://maandhan.in/shramyogi.

Step 2- On Homepage, you will see the option of Click here to apply now and clicking on the option.
Step 3- On next page you will see the option of Self Enrollment, you will have to click on this option.
Step 4- After clicking on the option, you will have to enter your mobile number. Then you have to click on the Proceed button.
Step 5- After clicking the button, you have to enter your name, email id and captcha code on the screen and then click on the “Generate OTP” option. Then you have to enter OTP and click Verify.
Step 6- After this you have to fill the complete application form carefully.
Step 7- Upload the required documents in the JPEG form.
Step 8- Then after review, the application form has to be submitted.
Step 9- After that, print out and save it for the future purpose.

Eligibility Criteria:
- For Unorganized Worker (UW): Applicants should be laborers of unorganized sectors.
- Applicant age should be between 18 to 40 years.
- The monthly income of workers in unorganized sectors should not exceed Rs. 15000.
- The subscriber must have a mobile phone, Aadhaar Card
- Savings Bank Account is also mandatory for the scheme
Should not be :
- Engaged in Organized Sector (member of EPFO/NPS/ESIC)
- The applicant should not be an income taxpayer or taxpayer
Scheme Feature:
- Assured Pension of Rs. 3000/- month
- Voluntary and Contributory Pension Scheme
- Matching Contribution by the Government of India
- On the maturity of the scheme, an individual will be entitled to obtain a monthly pension of Rs. 3000/-. The pension amount helps pension holders to aid their financial requirements.
- The scheme is a tribute to the workers in the Unorganized sectors who contribute around 50 per cent of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
- The applicants between the age group of 18 to 40 years will have to make monthly contributions ranging between Rs 55 to Rs 200 per month till they attain the age of 60.
- Once the applicant attains the age of 60, he/ she can claim the pension amount. Every month a fixed pension amount gets deposited in the pension account of the respective individual.
